guidelines for Sending media (audio/photos/video) to GCHF.
Sending Media
Contact Lynn Rose WITH all submissions
Provide the items listed below as they are available:
Pictures
They should be scanned with 600 dpi. Bring or send your pictures or items to be scanned if you do not have a scanner. We will scan and return them for you. As known, please identify people, places, events, dates and where picture was taken to create a caption. We will use your information to provide captions and indexing.
example: Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Suffolk News Herald, 2/14/1943, or Jones Family photo taken at family reunion and date.
Videos
This page will have videos received by the GCHF. If you would like to send us video, a computer file or DVD is preferred. Include a description to identify as much as possible: subject or topic, people, places, events, dates and where video was taken for identification. We will use your information to provide captions and indexing.
example: Sue Jones receiving service award from the XYZ organization, 1978.
Audio
This page will include audio files received by the GCHF. If you would like to send us audio tapes, CDs, or audio computer files, also include a description to identify as much as possible: subject or topic, people, places, events, dates and where audio recording was taken for identification. We will use your information to provide captions and indexing.
example: Autobiography by Robert Jones or Tom Jones interview – Drexel Bradshaw interviewer, 4/17/10.
Reference Links
Let us have various links to other websites and reference information. They are another good source of historical information.
Family Tree
If you would like to include yours, give us the link to the website hosting it, i.e., Ancestry.com, Geni.com, etc. This section will be expanded later with links and reference information.
